Watch Q & A
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT WATER RESISTANCE & CARE — PLEASE READ BEFORE WEARING!
Please note that although our timepieces are crafted with high-end water-resistant construction, junwatch always recommends keeping your watch away from water whenever possible to ensure its long-term longevity. Always double-check that the crown is fully pushed in and tightly screwed down to prevent moisture or liquids from entering the case and movement.
To give you absolute peace of mind, our specialists inspect and test every single watch before careful packaging and shipping, ensuring it arrives in pristine, working condition.
We strongly advise our customers not to wear their watches while swimming, showering, or engaging in water sports. Preventing humidity, moisture, and dust from entering the case is vital. We, at junwatch, cannot cover or guarantee the functioning of any watch that has been worn or submerged in water, as liquid leakage can compromise the internal movement.
**Please note that junwatch DOES NOT COVER any water-related damages, even though your watch features factory water-resistance specifications. Our replica watches are built to the highest industry standards with advanced technology, but the safest and smartest rule to keep your watch in top condition is simply to avoid water.
Additional Information Regarding Water Resistance:
Maximum depth resistance is laboratory-tested and measured in atmospheres (ATM). One ATM equals 10 meters of static water pressure.
A water-resistant watch can handle light, everyday moisture, such as accidental splashes while washing your hands**. However, submersing a watch should only be done if specifically rated for deep diving—and even then, replica watches should never be pushed to the extreme limits of genuine luxury diving pieces.
** Watches designated as water-resistant in their descriptions can withstand light moisture only. We strongly advise against wearing them in swimming pools, oceans, lakes, hot tubs, saunas, or showers. Chemicals found in water—such as salt in the sea or chlorine in pools—will corrode seals and harm both replica and genuine watches alike.
*** Unless explicitly stated otherwise, your watch should never be submerged in water. All chronograph models should never be operated or submerged underwater. Moisture can easily seep through active pushers during rainy conditions or high humidity. Got questions about your specific model’s water limits? Feel free to contact our support team via WhatsApp for instant advice!
Never pull out crowns or push buttons while the watch is wet or underwater.
Q1. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING TO DO UPON RECEIVING THE WATCH?
A. Upon receiving your mechanical watch, simply wind it up. The power reserve often reaches near-zero during transit. Wind the crown 15 to 20 full turns clockwise. If it is a quartz watch powered by a battery, no winding is needed. If a screw-down crown feels tight, gently loosen it by turning anti-clockwise before winding. Once wound, gently push and screw it back down securely. It will immediately start ticking with precision.
Q2. MY WATCH IS AUTOMATIC, WHY DOES IT STOP?
A. If your quartz watch suddenly stops, the battery has simply reached the end of its life and needs replacement.
If it is an automatic watch, it runs on stored kinetic energy from your wrist movements. When left sitting still for a period, it will naturally run out of power. Simply wind the crown 10 to 12 turns clockwise to jumpstart it.
To adjust the date or day, pull the crown out to the first click; pulling it out one more step adjusts the time. For screw-in crowns, always unscrew anti-clockwise first.

Q3. HOW DO I SAFELY SET THE TIME?
A. Unscrew the crown anti-clockwise. Gently pull it out until you feel a distinct click. Turn it anti-clockwise to advance the hands to the correct time. Once set, push the crown back in while turning it clockwise to lock it securely. Always verify that the crown is tightly sealed to protect the movement from dust and moisture.
Q4. HOW DO I SET THE GMT & LOCAL TIME?
A. GMT stands for dual time zones displayed on a 24-hour scale alongside the standard 12-hour hands. Always handle the crown with absolute care:
- Unscrew the crown anti-clockwise until loose. The crown has two sequential pull-out positions: the first click sets the GMT hand/date, and the second click sets the local time.
- Always set your local time first, followed by the GMT hand. They work in harmony to track two zones simultaneously. Once finished, push and screw the crown tightly back into its closed position.
Q5. WHEN DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE BATTERY FOR A QUARTZ WATCH?
A. A fresh battery typically lasts about two years, depending on factory installation time.
Q6. HOW DO I CHANGE THE DATE/TIME ON MY REPLICA WATCH?
A. For screw-in crowns (like Rolex styles), loosen anti-clockwise, pull out gently to the first click for date adjustment, and the second click for time. Always turn in the designated direction, and make sure to lock the crown tightly back down when finished.
Q7. WHAT IS A SCREW-IN CROWN AND HOW DO I USE IT?
A. A screw-in crown locks into the watch case threads to create an airtight seal. Never force or over-tighten it. When finished adjusting, gently press it toward the case while turning clockwise until securely locked.
Q8. WHAT IS A RECESSED PUSHER?
A. Recessed pushers are flush buttons inside the case used to adjust calendars or complications. Use a non-sharp tool (like a ballpoint pen tip) to press it all the way in and fully release it. Never push halfway, as this can misalign internal gears.
Q9. HOW DO I OPERATE THE CHRONOGRAPH (STOPWATCH) FUNCTION?
A. For models like the Rolex Daytona with lockable pushers, unscrew the protective caps first. The top-right button starts/stops the stopwatch, and the bottom-right button resets it. Always push them completely—never halfway—and remember to screw the protective caps back down after use to safeguard your watch.
Q10. WHAT IS A TACHYMETER?
A. A tachymeter scale on the bezel or dial helps measure speed over a known distance (such as miles or kilometers per hour) using the sweep second hand.
Q11. IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS FOR VALJOUX 7750 MOVEMENTS
A. If your watch features a Valjoux 7750 movement with a date function, NEVER adjust the date between 10:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as the internal gears are engaged in changing the date automatically and can be damaged. Change the time to 6:00 first if adjustment is needed late at night.
